Record check for work Z visa

Teaching ESL in Beijiing

I was offered a job teaching English in Beijing, and the school asked me to get a criminal record check.
As I will leaving for Beijing very soon (a few days), there is not enough time to get one on Canada.

May I get a record check done at the PSB to prove that I do not have a criminal record.

Also, if I can get a record check in Beijing, what is the cost?

Vincent, you should get it from the Police station from where you live in recent years. If you didn’t live in Beijing before, you cannot get it there. You should get the record check in your home country.

Yes I have liived in Beijing in 2009 and 2010 with my Chinese wife and daughter, I had a work z VISA so I should be ok again
