About:Shopping in Shanghai

Jan 2017 in Shanghai

Hi,
Its my first time travelling to SH next week. Is there anything that I need to take note of before going there, eg. Weather or what to wear to stay warm?
I will be staying at Radisson Blu Plaza Xingguo Hotel. Is there any attractions or shopping nearby?

Jo, according to the weather forecast, it is usually cloudy days in January and the temperature ranges between 40~50F. It is suggested you take down jackets, sweaters, and long johns to keep warm.
You can take a taxi to the nearby Xintiandi Plaza to do some shopping or to Tianzifang to admire the unique Shikumen buildings.

Download an app for translating. Very few people speak English and it very difficult to communicate with taxi drivers or people in general. If you have an address make sure it's written in Chinese. Watch out for taxi drivers trying to rip you off,
