About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I am traveling with a US passport and traveling companion with german passport

flying from HKG - PVG - TPE. do we qualify for the 144 hour free visa ? Thanks for your help.

Kate, yes, you will qualify for the 144 hour free transit as long as you stop in Shanghai for not more than 144 hours.
