19hr layover

I have an overnight layover in Beijing with Air China. The cover the hotel for these kinds of layovers but when I go through customs will I be able to get the 72 hour visitor visa or will I have to go to another area of PEK to get it before going to my hotel?

Lupe, if you will fly to a different country from the last one you fly from, you will be able to enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Beijing. You just need to apply for a temporary stay permit at the immigration office inside the airport, and then you can leave the airport to stay at a hotel.
