Hello, subway system is very convenient in both cities. I highly recommend you use that for touring around. For a small part of remote scenic spots, you may use city bus.0

Hey !I think the metro is quite enough to tour around in Beijing and Shanghai , if u want to get a freely trip, taking bus is a good idea!0
