About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit in Guangdong

Different transportation mode

Can I apply for visa on arrival if I use different transportation for arrival an departure? (Air/road)
Which of below option can be more suitable for this visa at arrival?

Option 1:
Arrive in HKG by Air from SIN on Tue 26Nov
Go to SZX from HKG by private car on Wed 27 Nov for one day trip
Come back to HKG from SZX by private car on same day Wed 27 Nov
Go to Vietnam by Air from HKG on Saturday 30Nov

Option 2:
Go to SZX from SIN by Air on Tue 26Nov
Go to HKG from SZX by private car on Wed 27 Nov
Go to Vietnam by Air from HKG on Saturday 30Nov

Option 3:
Go to SZX from SIN by Air on Tue 26Nov
Go to HKG from SZX by private car on Wed 27 Nov
Go to SZX from HKG by train on Wed 27 Nov
Go to Vietnam by Air from HKG on Saturday 30Nov

Option 1:

This is doable, but you have to take care that a driver goes via Huanggang border crossing because you will be able to apply and obtain a Shenzhen VOA there and not on any other road border crossing. Be informed that you are allowed to move with Shenzhen city boundaries.

Option 2:

This is option is not possible because you cannot get a Shenzhen VOA when arriving by air. You could be, however eligible for 144 hour visa free transit, but in that case, you would have to stay in Shenzhen for at least 24 hours and 1 minute and leave Shenzhen to Hong Kong by ferry and not by car.

Option 3:

This first part of this option is practically the same as option 2.

The second part is not doable because you cannot take a train from Hong Kong to Shenzhen. In reality, you can take a train from Hong Kong, but only until Lo Wu / Luohu border crossing from where you will depart by metro to the center of Shenzhen after you have obtained a VOA. You can return from Shenzhen to Hong Kong by every mean of transport you like.
