Short Transfer (1hr 10min) using China Southern Airlines

My flight from Kuala Lumpur will arrive at Guangzhou Baiyun Airport at 12.45pm and I only have 1hr and 10min to transfer to the next international flight to Vancouver. Is it enough time a transfer? Do they normally have long ques during checks and is it far to get from one gate to the next one for international transfer?
