About:Visa Policy of China

Regarding Chinese Green Card or as we know D Visa

I am married to my wife she is from Dalian we've married 5 years stable marriage in china. having our own house under my wife in Dalian, I have planned to apply for green card, has anyone applied before from Dalian?
I know the system is quite different comparing to shanghai. Well my wife has confirmed from the police department in Dalian seems the process is easier, just wondering if anyone has applied before?

Also, will I get the same travelling benefits to other countries like Chinese do? Because I am permanent.

If you have lived in China for 5 years in a row, and annual stay in China is no less than 9 months, you can try to apply for the permanent residence permit.
After you get the D type, it doesn’t mean that you will get the same travelling benefits to other countries like Chinese do. It means that enter and exit China by holding their valid passports and the Certificate of Permanent Residence of Aliens without a visa.
