About:240-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I want to fly from NZL to Shenzhen Airport, on NZL Passport.

Do I qualify for the 144 free transit visa? Thanks

Stefan, if you fly from NZL to Shenzhen and then exit Guangdong to a third country, you qualify for the 144-hour free transit.

Actually, I was intending to stay in Shenzhen for the 144h, then return to NZL. Is it Ok? At the worse, I think, I can cross to HK and come back at Luohu and get extra 5 days Visa... Would it work? Thanks Lisa

If so, you cannot enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shenzhen because it’s not a transit at all.
But you can apply for the 5-day VOA if you travel like that.

Sorry again... The 144 h visa is for transit... If I say, I arrive in Shenzhen from Auckland and want to Return to Auckland it wont be transit? What about if I say, I cross to HG, then return to Shenzhen and fly back to Auckland? This should make it transit... Do they issue the 5 days at Shenzhen Airport? Thanks Lisa
