1-day trip from zhengzhou to longmen grottoeswhite horse temple

I am staying in Zhengzhou and are planning a trip to visit Longmen Grottoes and White Horse Temple: 1) Would you recommend bus or train from Zhengzhou to Luoyang/Longmen? 2) If train, which stations in Zhengzhou and Luoyang are more convenient: Zhengzhou Central or East station? Luoyang or Longmen? 3) I was planning to visit the grottoes first and then go to the temple. Can I do this by bus? 4) Is it feasible to do this on 1 day without staying a night in Luoyang? It is suggested that you take high speed train from Zhengzhou to Luoyang, the journey only takes about 40 minutes. The train arrives at Luoyang Longmen Railway Station. Upon arrival, take bus no. K71 and get off at Longmen Grottoes Station (15 minutes). The taxi costs around CNY15. The suggested visiting time for Longmen Grottoes is 3-4 hours.  Then get back to the bus station, take bus no. 81 to Guanlin Temple (20 minutes), transfer to bus no. K58 and get off at Baimasi Station (one hour). The taxi fare is around CNY55. After 2-3 hours' visit, take bus or taxi (CNY50) to Longmen Railway Station and then take high speed train back to Zhengzhou. It is feasible to do it in one day, but I would suggest you take an early morning train to Luoyang and a late afternoon or an evening train back.
