About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Can I fly into Hong Kong, travel by train or boat to Guangzhou

and then fly out of Guangzhou within 72 hours with the 72-hour free transit? If so, does this need to be arranged in advance, or can I simply show up at the PRC border and enter?

David, no, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit if you travel like that.
