I'm applying daily for jobs. Will I be successful in securing a job soon?

I was born morning of 13 May 1957. Recently, I was replaced by a cheaper & younger staff because my salary was the highest even though I worked with the company for only 5 years. Despite my vast work experience, awards won & developing my staff, I've been job searching for the last 2 months.

Does my career path have any obstacles & what should I do? Is there any direction or country I should be focusing my job searches as I'm mobile & willing to relocate?
