About:China Visa

I'm holding S2

I'm from Egypt. My visa expires after 10 days. I'm planning to change it to student X type as I wanna learn Chinese for 6 months. They school will give me an invitation letter, is this enough? Also should I do this in Beijing or I must get out of the mainland? If outside China, is it sure that I'll get it?
Last question: if I wanna change it to business M type, how long will it take me? And should I do this in China at the PSB or outside mainland? Thank you

Mohamed, I'm afraid the school may be required to give the JW 201 or 202 form as well. It's possible to change your current visa to student X type in Beijing, but it's not for sure. Even if you apply outside of China, you don't have a 100% chance to get it. It's also possible to change it to business M type. It will usually take seven days. You can do this at the PSB seven days before your S2 expires.

If I wanna change it to business visa, can I do it in Beijing with no need to leave the mainland? Besides Its going to be 6 months, is this okay? I have invitation letter + company license certificate from the company, any other documents?

Yes, you can do it in Beijing, and you may not need to leave mainland China. Just give it a try.
I think it is okay for you to apply for 6-month M type. Aside from the invitation letter, you may also need to provide the company’s business registration certificate, your passport, the application form, a passport-style photo, valid registration form of temporary residence, and other documents the consular officers consider necessary.
