About:Shanghai Maglev Train Ticket

Can I take a night train travel to Beijing from Shanghai and back the next night after a day visit?

I don't want to spent days in hotels or take a flight, I would rather want to make a day visit to the great wall of china and some other places in Beijing and get back to SH during that night. How long will it take the fastest train? and how much does it cost? night to go, a day to visit, and again a night to back to SH. Can I do that? and do I have to pay to visit the wall?

Yes, you can pay do a day trip to Beijing from SH by bullet train.

The G trains take about 5.5 hours. A second class seat costs CNY553; a first class seat costs CNY933; a business class seat costs CNY 1748.

The D trains take about 12 hours. A second clas seat costs CNY 309; a soft sleeper costs CNY 696.

Yes, you need to pay to visit the Great Wall. The Great Wall has many section, and you are advised to go to see Badaling or Mutianyu Great wall. Badaling costs CNY 40 from April to October; CNY 35 from November to March. Mutianyu costs CNY 45. Have a good trip! :)
