Does my wife need to report to the local police station?

My wife is visiting me for 28 days on a S2 visa, which she has been granted. During her stay her address of stay is my Professor`s residence in Beijing. Can you please tell me if she needs to register at the local police station? If yes, then what is the procedure?

Yes, she needs to register at the local police station. She just need to go there and fill in some information. The process is quite easy.
