About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Cruise ships

I am a Uk citizen taking a cruise ship from Hong Kong to Shanghai. Leaving ship there and flying same day to Bangkok. Am getting differing advice about a visa. Do I need one and how do I advise immigration authorities. Is that done on the ship?

Stephen, you don't need the entry permit for Shanghai because you are eligible for the free transit policy.
