I am going to Shenzhen, China to present a research paper at an international conference. My instition and my private funds are paying for the air and lodging. What types of entry permit I must apply for? (tourist or business). I am not making money but rather spending money.Thanks for for the reply.--Raja

Raja, if the conference is related to commerce, you need to apply for a business M type. If the conference is hosted by a government office or public school, you can apply for an F type.
