About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

cebu to shanghai, staying for 5 days- then home to US. Does this qualify?

I will be flying on US passports with my family of 5. We will go US-CEBU-Shanghai-US. Can we use the 144 hour visa? if so, when do I apply?

Yes, you can use it and you can apply for it upon your arrival at Shanghai airport.
