About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Hong Kong - Shanghai - Paris

I am a French citizen, travelling as follows: Paris - Singapore - Kuala Lumpur - Hong Kong - Shanghai - Paris with actually two tickets issued by my travel agency:
1. Paris - Singapore / Shanghai - Paris
2. Singapore - Kuala Lumpur - Hong-Kong - Shanghai
May I use the 72 or 144 hrs free of visa when arriving in Shanghai from Hong Kong (flight ticket 2) and then leaving back to Paris (flight ticket 1)?
Thank you for your help

Clem, yes, you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai if you travel like that and transit in Shanghai for not more than 144 hours.
