About:Beijing Transportation

How much does it cost by public transportation from Capital Airport T3 to Xisi Metro Station?

Hello, we will arrive to Beijing at midday, and we want to take the cheapest option to Xisi. Could you please advise us the price and best connection?

For your convenience, you are advised to take airport express to get to Dongzhimen Station first. The ticket fare is CNY 25 per person. And the duration is around half an hour. Then transfer to subway line 2 to Xizhimen Station and subway line 4 Daxing Line to Xisi Station. It takes around 20 mins with the fare of CNY 4 per person.

And when subway tickets are charged by the distance (not time frame or number of stops), how do we know which ticket to buy? Is there a counter at each station or are there machines only?

Hi, dear! There are three ways to buy tickets:
1. Use the Automatic Ticketing Machine. Choose your destination, and pay in cash as the machine shows.
2. Each station has a Ticketing Counter, where you can purchase the ticket.
3. Swipe the Transportation Smart Card when you enter and exit the gate. The fare will be deducted automatically. By the way, you can get the card from the Ticketing Counter of Dongzhimen Subway Station. You should pay CNY 20 as the deposit, and add some value to it.
