About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Travelling to Yantai and onward to Singapore (via Beijing and Shanghai)

Good day, UK passport holder travelling LHR to YNT via Shanghai (direct transit) and Yantai to Singapore via Beijing in direct transit. Would they be able to enjoy the 72 hour free visa?

Lynette, no, the 72 hour free transit cannot cover this trip. If the total layover time in China is within 24 hours, the traveler can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit, and then no entry permit is needed.
Otherwise, a transit G type or tourist L type entry permit will be needed.
