flying to singapore from the uk, then on cruise,

stop two days (one night on ship) in Hong Kong, leave ship in Shanghai and stay there 3 days then fly to UK via Dubai. Do I need visa?Thank you

Leonard, no, you don’t need it because you can enjoy the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai.

Sheldon,Thank you for your answer.A company told me that the 144 hours is discretionary and we might not be allowed into Shanghai without an entry permit. Is this true or is the company casting doubt because they want my money?
