About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Transiting Hong Kng for 48 hours. Want to visit Guangzhou

I am planning to travel through Hong Kong and am interested to meet with a contact in Guangzhou. My plan is to do a day trip through to the city using the direct train.
Do I need a visa from the consulate in Auckland before I leave or can I get this at the HK train station or the Guangzhou station?
Cheers
Bernard

Bernard, I’m afraid you cannot get it at HK train station or the Guangzhou station. You need to apply for an entry permit in your home country in advance.
