Travel from Xian to Mt. Huashan between 27-30/nov (1 day)

On the Xian & Luoyang forum on October 9 answered by Kevin, it was stated that he advised against climbing Mt. Huashan in mid December due to the possibility of heavy snow and slippery roads. My wife and I are both 50 years old and we plan to visit Mt. Huashan between 27 - 30 November. We would like advice on whether it is safe to visit during the aforementioned time frame, and if so, what would be the most suitable and comfortable route for us?
Thank you.

According to my experience, the snow usually begins to fall in the month of December in Xian. The best time to visit Huashan is from April to October, but it is also fine to visit it in November. I would like to suggest you take warm clothes like overcoat or down jacket as the temperature on the mountain is very low during that period.

There are two routes by cable car for you to choose. One is take cable car up to the North Peak and down from the West Peak. The other is go up to West Peak by cable car and down from the North Peak. If you do not want to hike too much, you can choose the second route as the way is downhill which is easier to walk. Or you can go to West Peak and walk around, then take the cable car down from West Peak as well. Hope it helps.
