About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

From hk to shanghai and back hk

Always i read free transit visa , but if i buy a ticket from hk and stay shanghai for just less than 72 hours ...is it OK also go and back to shanghai for less than 27h? Do I need pay something for so called free visa?

Alex, you mean you will fly like HK-Shanghai-HK, right? If yes, you won’t be eligible for the 72 hour free transit in Shanghai.
You need to apply for a tourist L type entry permit in advance.
