About:Hong Kong Airport Express Travel Pass

Airport Express Travel Pass and a Hong Kong 4 day journey

Hi!
do I understand well that the two single journeys of the AE Travel Pass outside the 72h limit (obviously in the 180 days limit)? Is the AE Travel Pass like an Octopus? As far as I'll be in Hong-Kong for 4 days, would it be better to buy an AE Travel Pass (with airport r/t) and then add an Adult Tourist Day Pass (the 65$ I mean) or can I charge my AE Travel Pass with some credit in order to go around on the 4th day? Which is the best and cheapest solution?

Thank you

Hi, dear! It is valid for 180 days from the date of issue. You can use the two single journeys on AE train within 180 days. In addition, the 3 days unlimited ride starts from the recorded entry time of the first MTR ride, and lasts for 72 hours, plus any additional hours until the end of train service on the 4th day.

You needn't add an Adult Tourist Day Pass. You can top up the AE Travel Pass, and use it as a normal Octopus card on MTR, buses, ferries, trams, etc. ;)

Just top up the AE Travel Pass after buying it, and you can use it as a normal Octopus card to ride on MTR, Light Rail, buses, taxis, ferries, trams, etc.

Afterwards, you can keep it as a souvenior. Or, you can return it at any MTR or AE Customer Service Centers for a refund of HKD 50 and the balance. :)
