About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Seoul to Shanghai to HK

Hi!
US passport holder - leaving Seoul, arriving in Shanghai (48 hours), departing to HK. Is this a qualifying trip? Not sure if HK qualifies as out of the country since it is an autonomous territory.

Thanks!

Yes, HK qualifies as a 3rd country, so this route qualifies for the 144hrs free transit in Shanghai.
