Going to get the 72 hour transit visa but my onward flight has another stop over in china

Hello

I have a big problem here :(
Tomorrow I am flying to Beijing will be applying for the 72 hour free transit.

2 days later I am flying from Beijing to Sydney. I thought all was good and well until I realised that my flight to Sydney has a stop over in Nanjing Airport. From what I've read, the visa conditions say you cannot stop off at another airport in China during your onward flight.

I'm very worried as I have very little money (I'm on my way home) and I don't want to be rejected from my flight which I already paid a lot for and is non refundable.

Has anyone had any experience with this? I'm wondering if there is any sort of leniency?

Thank you

Elizabeth, if your total time spent in China for this trip is not more than 24 hours, it will be ok, but if the time is longer, I'm afraid you have to have a visa or you may get rejected.
