About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Flying from United States to Tokyo/Shanghai/Beijing/Hong Kong

Hello,

For my honeymoon in late December I am flying from Canada to Tokyo for 3 days, then to Shanghai for 2 days, Beijing for 3 days and Hong Kong 2 days. Do I need to apply for a visa? What do you recommend?
Thank you in advance

Alan, if your travel route is like Canada-Tokyo-Shanghai-Beijing-HK, you need to apply for a tourist L type or transit G type entry permit.
If you want to use the free transit in both Shanghai and Beijing, you are advised to travel like Canada-Tokyo-Shanghai--HK-Beijing-Canada/Macau/other countries.
