About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does Filipinos need a visa for connecting flight to Los Angeles?

Hi my parents are filipinos and are travelling to los angeles. They will leave MNL and arrive at CHina Ghuangzhou at 8 pm. They have a connecting flight to Los Angeles the next day at 12:30 pm. Do they need an entry permitto check in at a hotel? If they only stay overnight the airport do they need an entry permit? Pls let me know. Thank you.

Roxy, because their layover time in China is less than 24 hours, they can enjoy the 24 hour direct transit in Guangzhou. No entry permit will be needed then.
