About:China Visa on Arrival

Return flight to Beijing, applicable for 72 hr visa? Flight is Madrid > Beijing > Dusseldorf > Madri

I am flying with my friend, landing in Beijing in 2 days. I will stay less than 72 hours in Beijing
The Flight is Madrid > Beijing > Dusseldorf > Madrid.
Is this situation applicable for a free transit
