About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Does airside stopover count as a "destination"?

I am flying from London to Bangkok and staying 8 days, then, flying from Bangkok into Shanghai leaving to return to London within 6 days. My return flight from Shanghai to London has a 4 hour stopover in Bangkok. Am I still eligible for a 144 hour transit visa? Thanks. Stuart

Stuart, if so, you are not eligible for the 144 hour free transit in Shanghai. You should fly back to London directly without stopover in Bangkok.
