How to get replacement for a lost Chinese passport

I'm having a hard time finding info on the official site, can anyone help? And how long does it usually take? Thanks in advance!

Actually, you can apply for a Chinese travel documents to replace your lost passport. You need to prepare those documents first containing 4 recently-taken passport-style photos, copy of your lost passport, or copy of ID card to provide your Chinese nationality, a loss report of your passport, and a personal statement. Afterwards, submit the application to the embassy of PRC to apply nfor Chinese travel document.
The process time depends on the time given by the consular officers, so I cannot tell you for sure.
