Passport replacement

Hello
I lost my passport which had all my visa information and resident permit. i have work and residence permits, and now i have to apply for new ones since my passport is lost. What documents do i need to apply for a visa and how would it affect my employment?

Did you lost it in China or your country.
If in China, you need to make an appointment to the consulate general or embassy of South Africa in China for replacement of passport. And then go to the local PSB and the exit and entry administration to report the loss and get a receipt.
After getting the new passport, you need to the local PSB to get a registration form of temporary accommodation with new passport, prepare all materials for visa application, then take all the materials to the exit and entry administration to get the new visa.

If lost in South Africa, you need to get a new passport first. I'm not clear about the visa issue. You need to contact the visa center or the consular office of Chinese Embassy.

Then you need to contact the consular office to ask about the visa. I think you need the copy of old passport and the permit.
