travel to yunnan

Question

Hi,I have booked a flight to Yunnan on this coming February for 15 days, I will landing at Kunming, and leaving from Nanning. I have planned to visit Lijiang, Dali and Shangri-La. But im not sure with the weather on February, is it snow in Shangri-La. Can you please suggest which place I should and shouldn't visit during that time. And please suggest how many days should I spend on each place. Thanks in advance.

The weather in Kunming is moderate in February, but the temperature is low in other areas, especially in Shangri-la, the temperature may drop below zero with snow. So the sweater and down jacket are necessary if you go to this place. Actually it is not suggested to visit Shangri-la in winter due to the cold weather and poor sceneries. The suggested visiting time for Dali is one or two days, for Lijiang is 2 or 3 days or more if you are interested and another 2 or 3 days in Shangri-la. You may also consider going to Xishuangbanna, a warm place suitable for winter travel.
