About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Ho Chi Min City - Kunming - Shanghai - Prague

Hallo,
I would like to ask you - do I need a visa for China, if I have a ticket from Ho Chi Min City (Vietnam) to Kunming, there 11.15 hour stop, then 2.55 hour flight to Shanghai, there 13.50 hour stop and after it leaving Shanghai for Prague? May I use 72 hour free transit for both cities? My travel agency says entry permit is not needed.
Thank you.
Miroslav

Miroslav, as you will transit in two Chinese cities, you cannot enjoy the 72 hour free transit. The 24 hour direct transit is not applicable either because your total layover is more than 24 hours.
Considering your situation, you need to apply for a tourist L type or transit G type entry permit ahead of trip.
