About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Arriving in Shanghai then flying to Beijing before heading to Laos

Am I able to have a 72 hours stop in Shanghai then another 72 hours stop in Beijing or can you only do this in one city on route?

Chris, no, you cannot enjoy 72 hour free transit in China if you travel like that. You can only stop either in Shanghai or in Beijing.
