I am a US Citizen, can I get a Visa for myself and also for 3 Thai friends to visit China in Bangkok

This is a sightseeing trip of about 5-10 days. Exact dates are not set yet. How long will it take to get my USA citizen entry permit and the 3 Thai entry permit if all are done in Bangkok at the Chinese Embassy?
