Travel before entry into China?

Can I travel to a different country prior to entry to China on X2 visa? I am a US citizen planning to stay in South Korea for a few weeks and then fly over to China from there.

Susie, yes, you can travel to a different country prior to your entry to China on an X2 type entry permit.
