About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

I am a US resident and will be traveling to Beijing, China for 14 days. What all do I need to have?

I have a passport. Thats all. I am going to visit my niece who is teaching there this year.

Leann, you need to apply for a tourist L type entry permit to enter PRC and visit your niece.

Do I do this through the Chinese Embassy and can I do it online? How much will this cost?
