About:144-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Indian citizen in Beijing for more than 72 hours

Do I need a visa. which type should I get and from where. I am currently in the USA

Yes, you need it. If you fly to Beijing from USA, and then will fly to a third country or region, you can just apply for a transit G type entry permit and you should apply for it in USA. Otherwise, I’m afraid you need to apply for a tourist L type entry permit.
