About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

I'm thinking of doing a flight that stops for 25 hours in Beijing (DCA-PEK-SIN).

What does it mean I can stay within the Beijing transit area? What are it's borders? Can I go to the city of Beijing? Thanks.

Bernadette, if you travel like that, you can enjoy the 72 hour free transit in Beijing. And then you are able to travel around Beijing city.
