shekou ferry to hkg-macau port (central) do i have time??

Question

Our plan after arriving at Bao'an Airport is to take the ferry from SheKou Port to the Hong Kong-Macau Port (Central) but I'm concerned that we won't have enough time.We land at 1435 on a Friday.  The last ferry of the day is at 1645.  I know that we must check in there one hour in advance of departure.  On a Friday afternoon will we have time to get out of the airport at 1435 or later, get through the taxi queue, and make it to SheKou Port in time to check in for the ferry at 1545?Thanks for the help,JoanSan Francisco, CA  USA

It usually takes 30 to 60 minutes to check out upon landing. So I am afraid that you can hardly catch the ferry. Instead, you can take a direct bus to Central, HK from the airport. The fare is CNY 130, and the trip takes about 2 hours. :)

Maria,Thank you for your reply.I think that I should add that we are flying from Shanghai so we won't need to clear immigration in SZ and that we travel with carry on luggage only so we won't need to pick up any checked bags.Still...don't know if we're cutting it too close trying to catch the ferry.Joan

Oh, I see. Upon landing, you can take metro line 11 from Airport to Houhai Station, and change to metro line 2 to Shekou Port. The metro ride takes about 50 minutes, and the fare totals CNY 7. Or you can take a taxi to Shekou Port from the airport for about CNY 70-80 (about 40 minutes). Hurry up, and you can catch the ferry. Good luck! :)
