Pls advise what is the best way to get to Pudong Airport from Grand Mercure Central Hotel to board the express train?How much travelling time required? Can I buy the discounted tickets in advance (with the e-air ticket)? What is the frequency of the trains from Longyang Rd station?

You needn't buy the ticket in advance. Take metro line 1 from SH Railway Station to People's Square Station, and transfer to metro line 2 to Longyang Road Station. The metro ride takes about 30 minutes, and the fare is CNY 4. Then, take the train to PVG (about 8 minutes). Just buy the ticket on the spot upon arrival. The frequency is 15 to 20 minutes. :)
