About:Guangzhou East Railway Station

China border control

Hi there, I am travelling by rail from Guangzhou East station to Hong Kong.
Do you have to clear china border control at railway station?
How early should you be at the station before departure?

Yes, the immigration check would begin about 45min in advance, thus maybe it is good to arrive there about 1 hour in advance.
