About:Chinese Consulate in Toronto

I am a Canadian passport holder travelling to China in late March on a Tourist L visa ....

I will be visiting for 10 days in late March to visit a friend. I want to apply for the Tourist L type now because i will be leaving canada in mid-Dec to travel to other countries and then to china in March.
Q. Can i apply now even if i travel to china next March?
Q Besides the application form, passport, photo and invite letter, what else do i need to bring to Toronto consulate?
Q Do i ask for a multiple entry one since i think the fees is the same ($100?)?

Dee, usually, the tourist L type is just valid for 3 months, so you’d better not apply for it now and you are advised to apply for it one month earlier before your trip in most cases.
Or you can apply now, but you should try to apply for a one-year or 10-year visa and the fee is the same.
Thos documents you mentioned above are enough, but you should submit the application to the CVASC in Toronto to apply for the L visa and it will cost CAD 145.2 (including CAD 100 for visa fee and CAD 45.2 for service fee charged by the CVASC).
