About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

I am traveling to Jeju Island, South Korea on China Eastern Airlines

do I need a Chinese Visa because my flight has a 4 hours layover at Pu Dong Airport on the way to Korea? and on my way back to the Philippines from Jeju it has a layover at Pu Dong Airport (less than 2 hours) and at Chengdu (less than 3 hours)? thank you

You don’t need it because you can make use of the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai if you travel like that.
When you return, you don’t need the transit G type entry permit either because you are eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in Shanghai and Chengdu.
