About:How to Travel to China without a Visa

I am arriving in Guangzhou via a cruise ship and then flying to Hong Kong. Do I require a visa?

I have an Australian passport but Macau residency.

Dottie, you mean you will take a ship from Macau to Guangzhou and then leave for HK? If so, as long as the stay in Guangzhou is less than 24 hours, you don't require the transit permit. It's advised to confirm this with the ship company again.

The cruise is Hong Kong to Guangzhou where I will depart the the ship and fly back to Hong Kong. So I will be leaving the port and heading to the airport.
