About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Travelling from Toronto to Beijing, stay in Beijing for 2 days, then Beijing round trip to Taiwan,

then back to Beijing and leave from Beijing back to Toronto on the same day.
Can I enjoy the 72 hours visa free?
Please clarify about this rule. If I stay in 2days and leave for Taiwan. When I come back from Taiwan to Beijing, do I get another 72 hours? Your clarification is appreciated.

Kevin, so your travel route will be Toronto-Beijing-Taiwan-Beijing-Toronto? If yes, you will be able to enjoy free transit in Beijing in both directions and then no entry permit will be required.
