About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

72 hour visa free qualifications?

Hi, I am traveling from seattle to south korea. I have a two hour layover in shenzhen and then I go to xiemen for 18 hours will I be allowed to leave the airport at xiamen?

You won’t qualify for the 72 hour free transit because you will stop in both Shenzhen and Xiamen, but you will be eligible for the 24 hour direct transit in PRC. You just need to apply for a free temporary stay permit at Shenzhen airport and then you will be allowed to leave Xiamen airport when you go there.
